As probably the main conference city in the whole of the USA, barely a week goes by without several major Las Vegas events taking place such as the world electronics expo, or perhaps a motor show where the latest models are shown. On the main US holidays such as Thanksgiving and Labor Day, people from all over the country descend on Vegas, and on these holiday weekends, the hotels are at their busiest. The hotels generally have plenty of high profile parties that are amongst the highlights of the Las Vegas events calendar, and some of the biggest names in show business are booked to perform in the various theatres, adding to the sense of it being a really special weekend to be in the city on vacation.
